Racing Pigeons
Pigeon Husbandry
My goal is to help both new and seasoned pigeon fanciers enjoy the wonderful sport of racing pigeons. As a researcher who grew up surrounded by these beautiful creatures, I've spent decades studying them. This section is designed to provide valuable information to help pigeon enthusiasts succeed. Additionally, I've developed a GPT to assist with your questions. Please feel free to email me if you have any inquiries. However, always remember to consult a veterinarian for professional advice.
I will continue to add downloadable PDFs, so be sure to check back regularly.

Over 50 Years of Success!
Circle Lofts Racing Pigeons originated in 1972 under the stewardship of Ronald Mariani. Securing victory in its inaugural race in 1973, the loft has been a dominant presence in the Long Island Clubs, Combine, and Gulf Coast Homing Pigeon Club for several decades. Ron, along with his pigeons, established a formidable reputation during his tenure. Presently, Ronald's daughter, Ronda, is carrying on her father's legacy of success.
Timeless HAVENITHS
Circle Lofts Haveniths were obtained in the early 1970s from several well-known lofts, including Louie Aderner, Bernnie Yokel, Ray Brower, George Riker, and others in the New York City area. Today, Circle Lofts Haveniths likely remain among the few globally. Through the years, our Haveniths have claimed victories bred straight and crossed in club and one-loft racing circuits.
Loni
She is referred to as “Mother” in our loft. She has bred winners, and her genetics is still winning today.
Carmen
Daughter of Loni and Mother to "561," who is sire to our famous $23,000 hen and other winners.
Big Jack
He is referred to as the “Father” of our loft and is a Half-Brother to Loni. His mother is the famous "815," whose genetics have been found in superior breeders and racers in our loft over the years. Big Jack is a sire to many big winners.
Big Jack is a benchmark to our Havenith family, and with careful selection and breeding over the years, his offspring today still breed the pre-potent breeders and winners. Many even resemble his majestic stance. He is the epitome of a Havenith-bred cock.
Competition
Our loft, over the years, has won club, futurity, and in-one-loft races. Racing in highly competitive circuits, Long Island, NY, and GHC, Florida. Our birds have been tested throughout the country and Puerto Rico with great success and happy pigeon fanciers.
Black Pearl Family
This is a unique family of pigeons and, with confidence, some of the best racing blacks in the country. It started in the '90s with a black pigeon, bought at a pet store on Grand Ave. in Queens, and this family has gone to perform in breeding and racing. Notable wins are 3rd and 5th GHC Classic, Overall Average Speed Winner GHC Classic, and many 1st-place and top 10 club wins. Our Black Pearl family is tough and crosses well with just about any family of pigeons. What makes this family special is the random colors it will breed, specifically, opal. Hence the name Black Pearl. The composition of this family is a Havenith Base, with Heinze's 57 additions, most notably, Black Label, Houben, Campbell Napoleon, and two new additions from Peter Van De Merwe (Ad Schaerlaeckens and Dordrecht foundation).
Bronson
The Infamous “Bronson” who was 5th in the GHC classic and lost by about 45 seconds! 400 miles on a hot and humid day and the bird would not drop. The chatter was that everyone saw the white pigeon flying over the short end. Father 5th place band race winner.
